At St. Andrew’s Primary School we understand the importance of imagination and creativity in enabling children to engage with the ever changing world in which they live.

Our Design and Technology curriculum aims to provide opportunities to use a range of key skills, including mathematics, science, engineering, computing and art, in challenging and practical contexts. Children are encouraged to consider the historical and cultural impact of design technology on our world, to use problem solving skills when designing their own products and reflect on the purposes and values that underpin their design solutions. In this way we hope to equip our children to be the ‘resourceful, innovative, enterprising and capable citizens’ of the future.
